Do you remember the nights we fought?
When you called me every name in the book?
Or all of those times
when you shot me dirty looks?

Remember when you pushed me down?
I got back up and bloodied your nose?
Mr. "never hit a girl"
Shoving doesn't count I suppose?

You said I was beneath your ex,
the one you absolutely loath.
You always talk about remembering the good times,
but do you remember any of those?

Now you stand at my front door,
begging me to take you back.
Expecting it to work
just like all the other times before.

I've never been so hated and loved by the same person
all in the same day.
