In the Depths of Ones Mind

by Alexandra Jade Brewer   Jan 11, 2008

She wants out of this place
It's a house not a Home
The only time it feels right
Is when she is alone

The walls are covered in colors
But it just feels so bare
And the people in the house
Just don't seem to care

They went about there day
Like it should be the same
Like the devil hadn't worked his magic
In some horribly demonic game

Just for one week
She hid from every day work
And in the corners of her mind
The darkness did lurk

She wrote because she can
Releasing all of her emotions
The contents of her pain
Filling the deepest oceans

Begging and pleading
With her mothers ghost
And wishing of these conversations
Her mind didn't play host.

I liked how the house was lively and warm but inside she didn't feel it. I too can relate by poems and by experiance. I enjoyed this so far from the poems I've read this is one of your best nice work
