When An Angel Is Broken

by FountainsOfBlood   Jan 11, 2008

On a rock, she sits
Her eyes transfixed
Onto Devil's Water
Floating beneath her

Her hair in curls
Not like the other girls
Black dress, black hair
Her skin is silk

She will never get free
This is what's to be
Hands in her lap
She cries to the night

Wings are torn
It's there she will mourn
Under the moon
Half and 2 quarters

The land of heaven
Cloud seven
Gone forever
Long out of reach

And there, she awaits
To Hell: her fates
She will be silent
She will not move

When an angel is broken
When an angel unspoken
Life might crash around you
Keep strong, never lose hope

This is literally one of the best poems I have ever read. I agree with one of the other comments, You can really picture her in your mind. That is always a plus for me when you can visualise a story being told.
