while you went to school
i waited and waited
for a phone call or two
but nothing came
is this a game?
never heard from you

you snooze you lose
nearly 8 months and nothing yet
was this just a silly bet?
and now you return

what is your silly task?

couldn't you find a phone?
this don't all make sense
