The Eyes of an Angel

by Brendan   Jan 12, 2008

A treasure at the bottom of the sea
Its glint just visible, but out of reach

A dewdrop on a velvet rose
Elegantly shining in the bright sunshine

A ray of sunlight amongst the clouds
There for a moment but gone away

A footprint in the fresh morning snow
A mark left behind for others to follow

A twinkling star in the midnight sky
Shining brightly amongst the black abyss

A tender, innocent heart put on the line
Given the slightest hope for love

But these things are only a flash of life, a glittering moment
Visible only for those who wish to see them
Those few with the eyes of an angel
