As Senses Grow Old; Love Lives On

by Alexandra Jade Brewer   Jan 12, 2008

I can no longer see properly
My eyes have completely blurred
But we have no the money
And I don't say a word

I am sensitive to many tastes
Salty, bitter, sour and sweet
But I have not the energy to complain
As I am constantly beat

I can no longer hear straight
And you have to speak up when you talk to me
But we don't get frustrated
Because your key fits my hearts lock

I am really sensitive to many feelings
I don't like the overly cold or hot
But it doesn't matter; I have you
And over the years we have been through a lot

Together we have grown wrinkled and old
Many of my senses have died
But out love remains the strongest bond
As many years ago; it was for each other our hearts cried
