Citrus - Go at It, Freud

by sibyllene   Jan 14, 2008

The forbidden fruit in Eden was no apple
this orange confirms it
slowly stripping back the slightly sucking peel
releasing the scent of illuminating seduction, there's
no other way to describe it
can't help but taste
running my tongue down the spine of one wedge,
the zesty savor, as bright as sunshine, the edge of a smirk
temptation rises, imagination supplicates, yearning
oh, that first bite, the skin the texture of lips, yielding,
before my teeth break the surface, and then,
that shuddering euphoric flavor, juice bursting into my mouth
as that perfume permeates the air, my body, some dark part of me
drawing my fingers into my mouth, capturing every drop
piece by sweet immoral piece, possessing
relishing, adoring
how could this succulent delight be sin?
how could this enticing joy be virtue?
