In the Years to Come

by Chris Rodriguez   Jan 14, 2008

Some things I miss now that are already gone
Sometimes I think there was something more I could've done
It's on my face all the time
I know that luck isn't always on your side
Move on but don't leave her behind at the start
Life is too hard to pull yourself apart

It's a long way down to the bottom
I'm looking at what once was the sanctuary
Have we really gone this far?
So far from where we were
There are only so many words we can say
Before this castle starts to crumble

Maybe in the years to come
You and I might meet again
When our little worlds won't shatter
Every time we just speak
Every time we get close
Every time I try to reach out
Maybe it won't collapse on top of me

So far away
And here where I am
And there where you are
I wish you can hear me say...
