The Shadow of Nobody

by Someone   Jan 14, 2008

Mornings I wake to see my love
Warm, alive, breathing
There heart beating gently against my year

Evenings I watch as she moves about
Warm, alive, breathing
her smile brightning my day

Nights I watch her falls asleep
warm, alive, breathing
Her gentle breathing soothes me

Mornings I wake alone, Unknowing
Cold, dead, intoxicating
Nothing but the cold imprint of her being

Evenings I weep, depressed and overwhelmed
Cold, dead, intoxicating
Nothing could replace her

Nights I lay in the still, freezing bed
Cold, dead, intoxicating
The only thing that ever remained of her

Was the shadow of nobody
