Shooting Star

by Thomas A Michel   Jan 14, 2008

In your eyes, a shooting star;
like one that's never been seen before.
My love is like the dust trail,
from the shooting star;
drifting across the beautiful sky.
Each fragment descends to Earth, from Heaven.

In your voice, a calm summer's breeze;
maneuvering it's way through the lifeless trees.
Warming my heart, making me melt,
conveying feeling I've never felt.

In your touch, that first summer's swim;
feeling like silk across my cold, dry skin.
Giving me promise, security and faith,
you've lifted a heavy life-long weight.

In your kiss, a young love blooming;
each day no longer feels ominous and dooming.
Tasting forever as we seal our love,
a marvelous blessing from above.

In your eyes, a shooting star;
no longer does forever seem very far.
Seeing, hearing, feeling, and tasting the love that exudes from you,
baby, I promise I will forever and always be true.
