A friend

by Hollow Emotion   Jan 15, 2008

A friend
is a rock

Laying
still

in
the dirt

everywhere
you go

big
or small

tall
or short

they're everywhere
you go

a friend
is a pet

always by
your side

through thick
and thin

they are a
great companion

a friend
is a Kleenex

there to wipe
away the tears

and there to
dry away the pain

a friend
becomes

a soul
a companion

a memory that
never fades away

apart of
your life

and if they
decide to leave

the friendship that
was once there

is only a memory
that will never fade away

This is a really good poem the structure is great within it i liked the similes in it it really outlined the close bond of friendship between two people strange choice of words though but strange does not mean bad the rythem is good aswell but you do not have any periods in it or capital letters except at the start but other than that well done

    well done
