When it rains, it pours.

And it hurts, to not know what you feel.
You want help, you want out, what's the deal?
And she's after the one thing you want the most,
and you feel so far away, when you want to be close.

Time isn't on your side anymore.
And you feel your poor heart tore.
The taller you stand, the shorter you feel.
The smaller it is, the bigger the deal.

You think it's all perfect, but it's an illusion.
You think the puzzles fit, but it's confusion.
You love him with all your heart,
and the truth is, it was complicated from the start.

But the truth turned into a lie, my friend.
And you feel your heart break again.
The taller you stand the shorter you feel.
The smaller it is, the bigger the deal.

And all you care about is what other people think.
"That girl, she's in over her head, she's weak."
You used to be them, the person who judged.
You want to run, but your legs won't budge.

The lies are getting older now.
And you can't stand there, and wonder how.
You don't have time to think, you have to act.
You don't have time to hide, you have to fight back.

You tell the girl that you're tired of this shit.
And you tell him that you're too weak for this.
Or maybe, the truth is you're too strong for it all.
Because the stronger you are, the harder you fall.

Because the taller you stand, the shorter you feel.
The smaller it is, the bigger the deal.
