Fake Plastic Trees

by Sole   Jan 16, 2008

Unwritten legacys tell stories of passion
Heroic fantasys may seem old fashioned
But deep in our hearts, we're wanting for adventure
Selling our souls, signing the indenture

Man has broken his promise to time
Reduced and diminished the final line
Weeping atmosphere, the ozone layer subdued
Ice turned to water, a forest denued

These fake plastic trees used to be real
This ocean floor never used to be steel
These clouds in the sky were once white, now they're grey
Man'sbrought this Earth to relentless decay

Unwritten legacys splutter and die
Man weeps on the floor, his destruction is nigh
Adventure forgotten, Regret plants his seed
Man, swallowed in his selfishness, hunger and greed.
