Little Brown Love

by Sole   Jan 16, 2008

These days of paradise
Stood on a balcony with a panoramic view
Watching over a crumbling city
Spending all my nights with you

These days of childish bliss
Wandering the streets day after day
Passing by the crowded town
You're the first to make me feel this way

These days of stress relief
Simply aware of my inner self
Observing the intricate detail of life
I could be with nothing else

These days have ruined me
Vice like hold under your bad influence
Addicted, suffocated, grip on my heart
These brown bags took my innocence.

This poem was nicely written and with a surprising ending. The rhymes matched the subject nicely, and the imagary phrases made it almost lifelike. The choosing of words was done carefuly and thus the piece emerged in the best way. The ending surprised me, the love, the first love, ruined the life of an innocent soul.

    Nicely done 5/5

You asked for my interpretation on this piece. It's kind of mixed. A love poem which is unique and different. From the start of the poem I got a feeling this was about drugs in a foregin country such as thailand, malaysia
ect. Weird I know but that's the vibe I got. Though from the last line brown bags reminded me of alcohol hidden within the liquor bags. I'm guessing i'm completely off track and many people would interpret this in different ways. The poem was honestly well written and enjoyable. Structure good. Flow great. The imagery painted was gorgeous. Well done. ~Mel
