Last Farewell

I lay myself down
And to God I pray
That you'll come to love me again
And be with me again one day

I'll bid you farewell
I now know what I have to do
Deep down somewhere
I know we'll never be through

It hurts so badly
I can't always see the light
And so I know I must give up
I can't possibly win this endless fight

My heart and soul
Are withered and dead
I'll love you for the rest of my days
There really isn't any more to be said.

I have given you my heart
I hope it keeps you from ever feeling loneliness
I love you now and forever
Please always remember this.

So, with my heart and soul in your hands
I will walk away
I wish you a life time of love and happiness
But in my heart you will always stay.

    Hugggggssss, Amy... I know how hard it is to get to that point of putting your heart and soul in someone's hands and finally walking awway.... and I know how much it hurts.... but it is a necessary step in healing and moving on.
