Paying The Price.

Paying The Price.

Your heart's never been mine,
nor have those beautiful eyes.

Your mind's in another place,
hiding tears you try not to cry.

Fighting for a life, a battle you'll lose.
But, it's not worth giving up it seems.

Sitting like a bump on a log,
awaiting the day I come running back -

I'm afraid it's called paying the price,
and you've got nothing that I lack.
