If I lie

by Maddyxxx   Jan 17, 2008

If I lie still
the light from the moon
will make me drop to my knees

Demons will devour me
but I won't remember them

I shall hear the cries aimlessly
while my blood flows into my veins
and out again

Small animals will no longer fear me
but to bring there families
to crawl around me
and nuzzle close to me

With love
there shall be passion to love
without passion
I don't know of any kind of love

For hundreds of years
I shall lie like this
with my head toward the sky

Till knowledge and power
have become one;
then I shall write a single line,
and achieve one flawless deed

Then lie down once again
to become like the shallow
rock under my hands,
and let my face be
covered with dirt and grass

To be pulled out of the ground
by the roots
by what hermit,
with his breast torn apart as mine now?.
