My Tears and Heart Of No Hope

Is there something wrong with me?
If not then why do you not love me?
No matter how much I care or love you
I cannot get you to love me back

I look at the night sky
The moon shinning on my face
Thinking maybe you are thinking of me
Or maybe you just don't give a damn

I try to hate you with all my heart
But my heart will not allow it
No matter how many times you hit me
But I can never forgive you again

Each time I close my eyes
I see your face
I see you rasing your hand at me
And down it goes hitting me

My body cannot move it feels like its frozen soild in a freezer
All I can do is say "stop it please"
Thinking maybe you will stop

Giving you a third chance
Was the worse mistake I made.
Wanting you to love me the way I love you
Was my only wish.

Is it so wrong for me to keep dreaming
Dreaming that you've changed
Or do I have to stop dreaming of you?

Is this dream the only one that will not come true

My tears shed into a river of no hope
My heart is shattering into a thousands of pieces
And I cannot figure out the way to put it together
And there lays my heart and my tears of no hope.-

    That is a very sad poem, but a reality for many girls and women. Very well-written, especially how in the poem the admittance is made that so badly wanting to be loved can cause more pain in the end. Great job.

    I can so totally relate to what it is your saying in this poem. This was a truely inspiring piece.

    ^^^This was my overall favorite stanza. it expressed so many emotions that I can relate to. I used to feel like this for an ex. it took me so long to realiza that he just wasn't worth it. this poem may have been sad but i still really liked it, you are very talented.
