I lay down, through day and night
I feel nothing but the changing light
The cold bares nothing on my bare skin
The pain bares nothing compared to my sin
No words can penetrate my deafened mind
The kindness of others can be so unkind
I have fallen down from my bended knee
How I long to escape, long to be free
Yet here I remain, trapped in my head
Though I beg for mercy, I lay in my bed
My bed, it transforms into mud and dirt
Engulfing my body, it doesn’t hurt
I will become earth, dissolve into light
I lay down, through day and night
