Stolen

by clare williams   Jan 17, 2008

It started on their wedding day,
Her heart, her life, got stolen away,

She traded down, lost what have could have been,
He stifled her spirit, and crushed her dreams,

Thirty years on, some things never change,
She lost herself once, now she's done it again,

He'll never stop hurting her, he'll never give in,
She's the best thing that ever happened, he's her biggest sin,

Now everyone's left to pay the price,
She'd do it all differently if she could do it twice,

She's better than this, which everyone knows,
But she cant walk away with nowhere to go.
