Longing

by Mike Martin   Jan 18, 2008

The sunlight reflects off the water
Like the moonlight in your eyes
A pool so vast, like a rainbow in the skies
You walk with the angels
Fore I see no other
A man and a woman
Wrapped up in each other
Wind though your hair
So much alive
Like the morning breeze
The lone butterflies
So pure and simple, the way you are
No one comes close
No one by far
Beautiful and free
You took my heart
For a chance, that we may never part
For a moment, frozen in time
For one short measure
You were once mine...........
