Things are different now..

If I could re-live yesterday.
I would make you want to
stay. You never looked back
after you turned around.
I couldn't even bear to
make a sound.

Trying my hardest to forget, but
I know that I will always regret..
everything that I did wrong.
Crashing, when I should have
been strong.

I feel now that I let you down. Sitting
here, alone in this town. Maybe
if I said I loved you more, you
wouldn't have walked right out
the door.

I think that things could be different
now, if only we could both allow..
allow our hearts to change inside,
but by these rules we seem to abide.

I never thought I'd see the day,
when you would permanently walk
away. You were leaving me behind.
A love like this, I would never

If you were getting made fun of,
I would take a stand. You don't
know how safe I felt, when I took
your hand. Thinking of good times
and all of our smiles. Now, we are
separated by so many miles.

I know that, about me, you really
don't care. At all of our past pictures,
I seem to sit and stare. One smile
from you is all it takes, to see that
all your new friends are fakes.

I could see it in your eyes. You didn't
want to live your life with these lies.
Now that doesn't really matter because
I sat and watched your defenses shatter.

One of them, is now what you are. I'm
still wishing on that one shooting star.
With every moment passing by, I'm
feeling number. Thinking of you, what
we had, and that amazing summer.
