How does the pin save me?
Does it save me in its
Searing pain
Bright red mark
Peeled skin
Heartache
Secrets
Lies
Sharpness
Scars
Memories?
Does it pick me up off the floor
When I go too far
When I go too deep
?
Does it stitch the cuts one by one
Seal them up, and place a nice, new bandaid?
Does it place a life jacket over me, so that I stay afloat?
Does it wrap around me, like a fitted belt so that when the car crashes, Im still here?
No it does.
It doesnt do any of those things.
So then why do I still call it my beloved?
Why do I still miss it, when things go wrong?
Its never gonna save me like I imagine.
