Why does my heart beat this way
I'm supposed to be in love with him, not you
These memories I try to push back out of view
Yet they they force their way out
Tearing my heart in two
I'm not supposed to remember you
Your not supposed to be on mind
Yet when I lay my head down at night
There you are, lingering all the time
I wonder what ever happened to me forgetting you
I guess promises to ourselves are never kept
And our hearts however cruel
Will never let us forget of the damage we can do
