You proved me wrong

by gasping for air   May 15, 2004

My heart was broken,
Into a million pieces.
I never thought it would mend,
But you proved me wrong.
The moment I saw you,
My heart skipped a beat.
My legs shook,
And I stopped breathing.
It was then that my heart got a little better.

As time has gone by,
My heart has mended more and more.
Your love has protected me,
And saved me.
My legs still shake,
My heart still skips a beat,
And I still stop breathing,
When I see you're loving face.
All because,
You proved me wrong.

Wow, that was awesome. I've never really been a fan of poetry that doesn't rhyme but this was really good. Loved it, keep writing
