Welcome To My Town

by Chelsea   Jan 19, 2008

Welcome to my town,
Where failure is the new success.
Welcome to a world with no individuality,
Where sarcasm is at its best.
A place of run down houses,
And people without expression.
These people have no passion for life,
Where people find no need to question.

Welcome to my town,
Where no one dreams of a future.
Everyone's been let down so many times,
Why would they want to get there hopes up,
Just to have them torn down again.
Dreams are just an illusion,
Things we want to see.
No one dreams in my town,
They are too much to bare.
When we want something too much,
We all get scared.

Welcome to my town,
Where no one wants to live,
Where everyone takes with no intension to give.
All we do is want but little do we get.
Welcome to a bitter sight,
Where everyone is suffering,
And full of regret.

Welcome to my town,
Where emotions run deep,
Regret is easy to deal with
But secrets are hard to keep.
We trust no one,
For reasons we all understand,
We stray away from reality,
It is easy to understand,
If you're from my town.

Welcome to my town,
Where little do you see,
People with a smile,
I know you would agree.
The people around here
have hearts as black as night.
Where our lives are never dull,
and are always full of fright.

Welcome to my town,
But it is not my home.
It is where I live,
But I do not belong.
For soon I shall be gone.
This town will become a memory,
You know what it feels like,
The need to get away,
If you're from my town.

Welcome to my town,
Where people's eyes never meet.
Eyes focused on the ground,
An overwhelming sense of defeat.
This place will you get you nowhere.
Don't live your life like these people.
Get away from this town.
