Innocence

by Summer   Jan 19, 2008

It began with a glance
That caused our eyes to meet
Hope rushed through my veins
Maybe love at first sight is real.

Smiles exchanged
With more meaning than we thought
A friendly introduction
Was the start of something new.

Gazing across the room
Careful not to meet her eyes
No one can know what I am feeling
I dont even know whats in there.

Spoken words
Drowning in laughter
There is something special
For her image makes me smile.

Secrets revealed
Hearts unlocked
Why do I feel this way
Only when Im with her?

A shoulder to cry on
Much needed support
Its the first time in my life
Everything feels just right

One simple touch
A hand on my shoulder
Chills down my spine
An innocent spark

Our eyes met once more
A synchronized realization
Maybe this friendship
Is a lot more than we thought

An innocent touch
Became a passion filled stroke
A brightly burning fire
Now I know what Im feeling

A caress of the hand
A touch of the lips
This isnt supposed to happen
But how do you stop two hearts from loving?
