His Mistake

He's completely worn out
chest filled with anger
she's caused him such pain
and he wants to hate her

but without her he's lost
so much hurt in his heart
he's so tired and confused
his life is falling apart

Conflicting emotions
his heart was betrayed
she'd still have his love
if only she'd stayed

but she left him in pieces
all cut up inside
he can't help but to wonder
how much she had lied

he thinks about her
not much more he can take
he comes to realize
she was his mistake
