The Beginning of Forever (You and Me)

I closed my eyes for just a second
I imagined us together
Then I thought of how it'd feel
to be in your arms forever

All I saw were smiles and stars
The fears and tears were gone
I saw myself so happy
I saw myself so strong

You were standing next to me
Everything was right
Love was all that I could feel
as I stared into your eyes

I swear I saw the moon smile
the moment that we kissed
I've never felt so comfortable
I've never felt like this

Then I opened up my eyes
and here we are, together
This is just the beginning,
the beginning of forever.

    This is like one of the best love poems I've read in a long time. It had me hooked from the very beginning. Great job. And I'm sure in this poem you're referring to your boyfriend, he's a great guy. I'm very jealous lol I wish you the best of luck, and if things don't work out, then I'll keep him company :)
