Broken Souls

Thoughts thrown away--
Words written no where.
A heart beats in the distance;
...yet no one can hear

Screams scattered distantly--
Echoes etched in wind.
A soul reaches for a hand;
...yet there is one seen no where

Her thoughts are with her children;
But her words have been lost.
Her heart slowly fades;
...As no one is to be seen.

Her lungs ache of the screaming;
Yet she still hears them echo.
Her soul slowly crumbles;
...As no one is around to hear.

Thoughts thrown away...
Words Written no where ...
Screams scattered distantly...
...Echoes etches in wind...

She holds her faith high in the sky,
As the rest of her falls to the ground.
Not knowing where her next meal with be;
...Not knowing where she will sleep tonight.

The sight of a childless mother--
The sight of a homeless woman.
No one notices the difference between;
...for no one cares for broken souls.
