Of All Things Not to Believe

by FenderGrl   Jan 21, 2008

I Wouldn't believe it
if I heard your sensational voice
hollerin' my name across the moutains
and the largest of fields.
I wouldn't believe it
if I saw you climb over that rocky wall like spiderman,
to save me from the monters and crocodiles and all...
And even in my dreams you came to life
You were the brightest star in the sky beaming,
almost real, almost doesn't count... I knew I was dreaming.
I wouldn't believe it
if I miracoulously found you underneath my bed after all,
If I saw you in front of me wearing that white hat that you'd always use,
Don't you think its been too damn long since I've waited out for you?
I wouldn't believe it
if you sneaked up behind me after so many years-- well, feels like years.

And out of all things not to believe,
I believed in my wishful thoughts...
I Should've known that moment wasn't mine,
And when I picked up the phone, stupid was I,
for believing I'd hear your voice on the other line...
