The Crossroad

Sometimes lies can make you happy
and truth can make you weep,
Just like ugliness goes right down the bone,
And beauty is only skin deep.
Rudeness is their second name,
Why? Just because they speak the truth,
Hurting friends who ask them,
What's the motive, they doubt?
Truth is not always sugar coated,
Sometimes it can cause heartbreaks
Trying to correct a friend that's all,
In the right spirit one should take,
And then you are stuck at the crossroad,
One road is easy;
U walk on this,
And live with the mistakes
of your friend.
The other road is tough;
you try to reason with him,
Because the fault is his,
That he is to be blamed,
That he brought u shame.
But when you walk this road,
You hurt him bad,
He couldn't look in your eye,
For u have crushed him.
Disgraced and confused,
He can't take this abuse,
And he will turn away,
He has nothing to say,
And you see him walk the other way,
Deserting you at the crossroad,
Wandering all alone.
