Silence grips the earth,
With an occasional thunder in the sky,
Promising the rising of a storm,
That had been dormant all along.
Far away lies an abandoned castle,
Vacant and cast away from life,
A strange force compels me to come in,
As if beseeching its lost love to return.
Glittering thunders in the sky,
This deserted castle draws me towards it,
With the howling of the winds
Mourning the love that's no longer alive.
Finally I give in,
The force is too strong
for any mortal to resist,
And I step into the manor,
Scared of what secret it hides,
Yet tempted to see the unseen.
But I am surprised to see
the beauty it beholds inside,
It's glittering with beauty and life,
Like never barren it's ever been.
And that's the lesson I learned,
Look for light within,
And you will discover
Divinity, in darkness uncovered.
