Murderer

Murderer.

A catastrophe unfolding, murder on the prowl,i sink behind the dimming lights, my heart is beating wild.

A cry of sadness lingers, hangs around the musky air, i glance in fear toward the fence, hope he cant see me there.

A call into the placid night, a shadow lies around, the creepy corner of the street, where her body once was found.

A creaking gate swings open, in a leering taunting way, I shift about in motion, in hope he does not stay.

A screech beholds the moment, I hold my breath and turn, a scratch of nails then nothing, my cheeks begin to burn.

A sound so indescribable, the horror I have seen, a life so inhumanely wasted, a split in a perfect seam.

A song that does not hold its tune, a lingering note now dead, I scan the heavy horizon, searching signs of a bloody red.

A sinking feeling now derives, a hope now so far lost. Proclaiming many lives does he, no matter the painful cost.

A taunting tingle comes through me, A feeling so unknown, I ache to stop the devils sin, but now i am more alone.

A thrash blows down from nowhere, I fight but cannot win, this trap so clearly set out, has now drawn me to him.

A tantalizing whisper, I struggle to hear it now. Deciphering nothing but the dark, life escapes my mind somehow.

A thread of guidance jerks me. Awake and soon restored. A blinding flash perceives me, but I feel this pain no more.
