Castle In The Sunset

by Chenoa   Jan 21, 2008

Sun sinks into ocean,
Rays crash upon the sand,
Waves stretch to reach the shore,
Then quickly run away from land.
Our setting star shines a path
Across the ocean's sky,
It glistens on the water,
To cross it, so few try.
The clouds create a castle,
With towers stretching high,
Shadows deepen stairways,
And passageways are dyed.
A mote surrounds this palace,
With soldiers made of sun,
And a fiery red hot dragon,
All this, for one and one.
A temple risen out of nowhere,
But it won't be there for long,
Pinks and oranges turn to blues,
Now soon it will be gone.
And with a flash of green
All residents must reside,
Back to where they came from,
Castle sinks into the tide.
