A Taste Of Sweets

by Kristi White   Jan 22, 2008

The mouth watering sensations
I feel every time you're near.
I know I shouldn't love you.
I don't know if I care.
The sweet scent of your wonder
sends me on a trip.
I know it's still my fault
that I'm caught up in your grip.
Everything you could do to me
you know it's everything I want.
But all the things you do to me
are only meant to taunt.
You're chocolate to my soul.
You're the cavities on my heart.
All the messages you send to me
pull my soul apart.
But I kind of don't mind it so much
although I know you're not for keeps.
There's nothing like the edge of pain
if only for a taste of sweets.
