Our Last Dance

by rEiyA   Jan 22, 2008

That was the night I'd been waiting for
where I'd surrender my life to you
spend those coming years of love, but in an instance
how come Fate made that our last dance?-

all are prepared, those candles and musicians
the pink goblet to your favorite purple Venetians
all are waiting, excited for you to see
how i planned this night with all of me.

at last you came a part of myself that's missing
stepped out of the grandest floral limousine
i ran to you as tears kept on falling
"thank you my love i thought this wouldn't happen".

holding each others hand, we proceed to the dance floor
swaying our bodies as the night sky we soar
eye to eye, we feel destined for each other
lips to lips to seal our love forever.

so as the moment came as i whisper my proposal
I'll just open my mouth when someone disturbed the ritual
angrily she stood there, calling out your name
"thanks for the miserable life sweetie, you"re such a shame!"

with no hesitations she pulled the gun
too late for me to cover 'cuz the shot's been done
slowly you fall while your head's bleeding
with open eyes i saw life fading.

i grasp your hand, asking you to keep still
with tears pouring, i ask you to marry me
as if in a moment you smiled unhesitant
whispered, "yes" in low voice then you left me.

"it is the night I've been waiting for
where I'll surrender my life to you
spend these coming years of love, but in an instance
how come Fate made tis our last dance!!"
