Are You Alive?

by isabel   Jan 22, 2008

It hits and it hurts and it burns, deep inside
You can choose between attempting suicide
Or struggle forever, maybe you'll survive
The truth is that you'll never be really alive

You drown in your memories and in your fear
Trying to reach your heart, depression is so near
You cry and you bleed and you try not to fall
Where there was joy, now there's nothing at all

You cut your own skin, but your soul, it won't heal
Maybe you need to weep, maybe you need to feel
To know that you're real, you crave your own heart
You try to let go, but you are falling apart

Great title, drew me in right away.
It was a fast read, the words flowed together well.
I really liked this one because it let me sort of see what was happening, like a scene in a movie.
    :)
Also, thank you for your comment.

I absolutely love it, you see you put thought in it, but that the emotions and feelings keep important to you. You show what you mean clearly.
