Box of chocolates

Some say life's like a box of chocolates
of friendships can be said the same
you search and seek to find the ones
who'll trust and never blame

you pick and choose, doing your best
not knowing what you'll find
looking for ones who'll be there for you
loving, fair, and kind

you hope to find a friend for life
a friendship that will last
someone who'll never look down on you
with memories from the past

some look and wait their whole life long
to find the ones for them
but when life's done they cannot say
I truly have a friend

if you've been blessed to have someone
who'll always be there and true
thank God above and tell that one
how much they mean to you

    Wow, this says so much and is very powerful. It sums up what my new years resolution was/is. I resolved to never let the moment pass to tell someone what they mean to you. You may never get the chance again. Beautiful words and in such captive verses. Not a more true verse can be written, live life to the fullest and never let the moment pass you by. An excellent write with perfect wording.
