Broken Tears

Tears flood down this drowning face
And pain runs through my every trace
Since when did my life become so dead
Every word sends pain to my head

The sound of your voice makes me cry
My heart is down to my feet
Everything is so screwed up
And I can't seem to find a cheat

It is true when they say
Love is a battle field
But I am no veteran
And my heart has yet not healed

Walking on glass never felt so good
Compared to what I've felt
Scars never fully disappear
And this bruise is turning into a welt

I've tried running away to many times
Everything always finds its way back
When do I get my fairy tale dream
And my prince charming dressed in black

(I wrote this along time ago, and its ok, not my favorite, but people seem to really like this one for some reason)

    I like it all exept for the last stanza. I see where you were trying to go but it seems that you simply tried to hard. Other than that i really injoyed reading this piece of work. Keep up the good work. 4/5

    I like it all except the last two lines because they sound a little forced like you were trying too hard to rhyme with the word 'back' but I really liked your line "I can't seem to find a cheat" that was really original and good!
