A poets dream

by lumbete   Jan 24, 2008

At day break I look up in tread
Once again at the brink of seclusion
My heart wonders far and wide
In such of you
And there amid st all hope I find you
Parched at center of my heart
And comfort prevails for I know your there

Through the sands of time
I have longed to see you
your very touch my deepest desire
The very sound of your voice my greatest melody
And by the gods of favor fortune befell me when I met you

As the sun slowly falls off the sky
And darkness gently creeps in
I look out the window,
Send the sun to you with a message from my heart
That amid st the distance and the silence between us
You my dear are always in my thoughts
Through every second the clock ticks away.
