To the fountain of Trevi

by Arunansu   Jan 24, 2008

Under the vault of azure,
grand sculptures
proudly bathed in brightness.

We tossed two coins
to your smiling waters,

in each other's comfort.

Today
I'm back here,
in pensive shades.

The Tritons appear morbid,
as I stand beside my loneliness.

Tell her, if she comes,
not to bring back
the desires and pain
for me

I shall return
over and over again,
to say these very words

till your streams
become silent.
