Searching for an understanding

by Kelvin Masi   Jan 25, 2008

She plays with the children, she sings, knows the words, and keeps the beat.
She loves God, sunday school and everything she creates.
She loves to watch the cars race on fast track.
She loves to go to the zoo and see the big wildcats.
She seem to be happy, but then in an instant that happy child is gone, only to become a withdrawn child i have never known. I know not the answer to this mysterious change, only that it's hard to encounter and seems impossible to rearrange.
It can only get better with our efforts intact.
With love and understanding, i hope it's encouraging how she will react.
I know the roads behind have been rough, but it seems she has grown to be older, but not grown to be tough, but only afraid and bold and inside herself.
For her to ever be "a soul-happy child," i would pay all the world's wealth.
