To Be Fat Like Me

by Beatrice   Jan 25, 2008

I look in the mirror and what do I see.
I see a fat girl staring back at me.
A look of disgust on her face.
Knowing that her friends and family thinks she's a disgrace.

They talk about her behind her back, they think she can't hear.
This eating disorder is overcoming her fears.
Putting off food to put off weight.
Knowing that being skinny would be great.

She winces as she feels the pain.
But every time she eats she begins to gain.
She has to keep going to lose the fat.
All she wants is for her tummy to be flat.

To the bathroom she runs as she makes herself purge.
She gags as the vomit begins to emerge.
Tears come out of her eyes and sweat begins to pour.
As anorexia and bulimia continue to explore.

Awww, I am so sorry. I have anorexia and I know what it's like. It is a daily struggle and I always feel that no one understands. If you ever want to talk, I'm here!
