Storms Fight Thunder.

by Teria   Jan 26, 2008

Storms fight the thunder, it's lighting the night sky -
burning images within sequence behind closed eyes.
Wetness rims the pupils, creating glimmers of shine,
and fear surrounds the lost, leaving no one behind.

Time and time again he hears the words once said,
repeating constantly within his weary, feeble head.
“ Tell me the truth, no lies shall be told, my darling.”
His mother always knew exactly when he was lying.

The words still burn his insides, causing him to melt.
She was more than let on and never knew how he felt.
The world to him, and so much more - -
with his momma now dead, his heart is tore.

And, life isn't always what they say it seems to be,
there's moments where you yearn to be happy.
But, you have to hold on in order to live,
for there's more out there from hearts that give.
