Saying "I love you"

The sun is down
and the electricity is off
the candles around us
display a light so soft
i stare at your face
laying in the bed
and kept having words
run through my head
or maybe they are feelings
I just can't tell
it's hard to put into words
these things that I felt
my heart says to tell you
but my head screams out no
through my actions, maybe
then you will know
these words I want to say
I catch myself biting my tongue
I've held it inside so long
i'm beginning to go numb
i am just going to say it
because i know it's true
you are the best thing that ever happened to me
and I very much love you
