Beings of the shadows, living in the dark.
Lurking in the woods, leaving their mark.
Viciously attacking any passer-by,
Making men scream and women cry,
They show no mercy as they watch you die.
They rip at your stomach, and claw at your skin,
Destroying any life that once had been.
Beady little eyes, searching for their chance,
Jumping 'round a fire, doing a little dance.
They giggle with joy as you shout in pain,
They bite into your children, and leave you for their main.
They lick and they chew, with greed in their eyes,
Ignoring your agony and hurt-filled cries.
Their long, thin fingers reach for some more,
You pray for an end to all this gore.
Inners are spilled across the ground,
Left-overs are scattered only later to be found.
Blood dries up upon their grinning jaws,
It's an end to their feeding, but they receive no applause.
