Tattoo on my wrist

by Melanie   Jan 27, 2008

Level of red getting higher
Grinding his teeth as he lies there
Taking breath after breath
Loving the world less and less
Few days seemed like weeks
Would crawl for the one thing he seeks
As young as one and three
Still something they can't believe
I knew that this couldn't be you
Wish I never knew
I just let everything go and carried on
After the summer joined along
Slowly slipping but we never noticed
Payed more attention to how much fun it is
Friends would give advice
But we actually never tried to realize
We try to never regret it
But I know some things we would want to forget
Nights that have turned around
Surprised we were never found
I can never lie and say that I tried
Because since the beginning I've always let it go by
I hide all his secrets continuing from today
Lie to everyone saying that he's OK
Reasons that can never be clearly explained
For now I just want to keep things the same without another change
I just hate that no matter how many times I get his name on my wrist
It will never prove that I helped him get through this

Lovely and witty. Well fashioned words with pictures well painted. Good poem!
