Understanding

I wish you would try to understand me

Try to understand me, and my needs

My needs, but rather OUR needs to succeed

In our relationship,life, and other things.

I don't ask for much,

But when I do, it benefits both of us

Like you in the sense that you won't be thinking

I'm tripping,

And me by knowing we have an understanding

We need that understanding,

That prevents us from arguing,

And helps us work on compromising,

And creates a relationship everlasting.

We need that understanding,

Where you can tell me ANYTHING

I need you to know you can trust me

Do you feel what I'm saying ?

I need you to be be my friend,

Not only my man.

So we can be able to discuss

What's going on with us.

Baby, I need you to understand me,

Physically,mentally, and emotionally.

I'm not trying to make this all about ME

Or what I want or feel I need

But more like me, expressing this feeling

Of a better understanding

Like YOU + ME equals WE

Or 1 + 2 equals 3

Or A and B leading to the next letter C

You and ME
