It was a normal day,
I was listing to music,
Thinking about you.
I hear the phone ring,
I got up to answer it.
It was you,
You told me,
"Meet me on the beach,
At sunset, I have a surprise for you."
So I got off the phone,
And went to go take a shower.
I got myself all pretty for the love of my life.
I sat on the beach, waiting for you.
I feel you hand go across my back,
As you sat next to me.
You whispered in my ear,
To get up and follow you.
You helped me up,
You take me to a table,
With candles, and a box.
You told me to open the box.
Inside the box was a ring,
I look at you, unsure of all this.
And you got on one knee, and say,
"Sweetie, I love you with all my heart,
Will you marry me?"
And before I could even answer,
I woke up and realized it was all a dream.
